After months of renovations, Proximity will officially reopen for the 2012 season on July 6th, with new works by Paul Yanko.

"Black Hub Spoke" (pictured left) shows the artist's meticulous use of color and texture. Yanko employs a variety of drawing, collage, and painterly techniques to build up and transform his chosen surface. His compositions of fractured, tessellated shapes combined with heavy applications of paint allow the image to "straddle the line between illusion of form and literal, actual depth."

The opening reception will be held from 6-10 pm on July 6th, 2012. The opening will be followed up with an artist talk/workshop. Dates and details to come.
